At 6 years old Jasmine's English vocabulary is good. She learnt quite a bit from her kindergarten class. Very interestingly is she still doesn't know the word "kill".  When she play hex bugs with Darren, I heard she said: "This hex bug is strong and it going to die him (another hex bug)". Thanks to mom teaching and our straight rule of watching tv, she still didn't pick the word "kill" yet.

He is smart, creative, friendly, persistent and very compassionate with high emotional intelligent. Last year during American Idol season, the whole family watched an episode that also showcase some very bad contestants  on t.v.  One contestant sang so badly that almost every audience in t.v. laughed, and our whole family laughed, except Darren.  Darren was able to think differently and not to laugh with us.  Darren questioned  me on  why should we all laugh at the contestant?  Darren explained to me that the contestant was just the beginner, he could go home and practice more and come back next time with better performance. I was both embarrassed and at the same time felt fortunate to be able to pickup a very positive attitude from my son.

When Darren was 34 months old, he
Started to sell balloons to me!
When I tried to get a balloon from him, he would ask for play money from me.

Wow, I am glad that he has such a business mind at this very young age. Let's hope that one day he will become a business tycoon and help fulfill daddy's dream!
